Five different pleasing designs for the head/tailboard are shown on this plan: all designs are based on mortice and tenon joints and framework. The bunk bed may be dismantled to form two single beds. The mattress is simply supported with plywood or softwood slats. Large bought in drawers may be included or the craftsman may make his own, if so desired.
