We are an independent British publisher and distributor of books on wood and woodworking skills appealing to both the professional craftsman and the hobbyist. Founded over 85 years ago, Stobart Davies has a well-established reputation as publishers of high quality technical reference books, and how to project orientated books. Our list of titles ranges from reference books on wood, forestry, furniture and wood identification to specific woodworking machinery instruction and woodworking techniques, furniture and woodcraft project books, and professional joinery and carpentry titles. Stobart Davies authors are internationally renowned craftsmen and specialists within their field. We publish approximately 40 new books each year and have around 140 books available from the backlist.
